This interactive session will focus on recognizing the rich and diverse ways young children naturally engage in science and engineering through their play. We will explore case scenarios illustrating students' scientific thinking and problem-solving in different types of play. We will especially focus on noticing and building on children's natural engagements during free-play. This session will equip you with practical tools and strategies to track and support children's natural curiosity in science and engineering during play as well as advocate for play-based science.
