About me
Hallye has over twenty years of experience in the early childhood education field and was introduced to the outdoor classroom approach while working at an early childhood program in California. While serving as the Director of Curriculum and Teacher Supervision at The Country Day School in McLean, VA, Hallye led Country Day's efforts to become Project Learning Tree's first Early Childhood Certified Greenschool in the country. As Executive Director for The Falls Church McLean Children's Center, she led the center's efforts to become the first preschool in the nation to participate in “Forest Days” in collaboration with the Association for Nature Based Education (formerly Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools). Hallye received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University and a Master's Degree in Child Development from Texas Woman's University.
