About me
Maddy is an artist, a player, and a Ph.D. student at Clemson University. She focuses on arts education as a critical component of all teacher education and play’s pedagogical role, especially within arts education, to engage learning for all students. She recently completed her master’s project at Arizona State University, Ready…Go: Exploring Play as a Tool of Accessibility in Secondary Classrooms, and her current research investigates the limited arts presence in teacher preparation programs and explores how shifts in curriculum can create more playful future teachers.
