Tugce B. Arda Tuncdemir, Ph.D. (she/her)
(hear it pronounced), is an Assistant Professor at the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, Penn State Harrisburg. Her research interests include play, creative drama, social-emotional learning, anti-bias education, culturally responsive pedagogy, ethics in early childhood, and teacher education. Dr. Tuncdemir has shared her research through presentations, book chapters, and journals. She was awarded the PPPIF at NAEYC Walter F. Drew Emerging Play Scholar Award in 2018 and was the President of The Association for the Study of Play for 2022-2023. Moreover, she loves to play board games!
