About me
Brittany is a U.S. Air Force veteran, military spouse, mother of 3. She graduated from The University of Central Oklahoma in 2018 with a B.S. Family Life Education, Child Development where she discovered a passion for teaching children and families, fell in love with the Reggio-Emilia early learning philosophy and became a fierce advocate for play-based learning and outdoor education. She currently works as a primary educator at Spokane's first all-outdoor Waldorf-inspired preschool with Greenplay Northwest, a non-profit organization in Washington State whose mission is to connect young children and their families to the splendor of the natural world, through advocacy, education, and environmental stewardship. When she's not teaching at farm school, you can find Brittany studying in the hammock for dual graduate program in Family & Child Studies and M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction PreK-6th, with a jumbo iced coffee in hand, playing with her three husky mix doggos (and the occassional bonus foster puppies) or volunteering in her own children's classrooms.
